Freight Command Center

The story behind
Freight Command Center

The old way of doing freight doesn’t have to be the way forward.
With the right technology and design, repetitive work becomes faster, communication becomes more precise, and fewer details are left to chance.

  • Less
    time
  • More
    accuracy
  • Better
    results
The Freight Command Center load screen: cargo, route and schedule for a three-drop shipment, a route tracking map from Visalia, California to Phoenix, Arizona with the truck part way along it, a seven-stage progress timeline from build through load completed, a list of carriers showing pass, partial pass and fail vetting results, and the assigned carrier with tracking.
One load, end to end: cargo and stops, every carrier contacted with its vetting result, and each stage timestamped through delivery. Customer and carrier identities, contact details and pricing are replaced with fictional sample data.

The Freight Command Center advantage

The technology works behind the scenes.
The advantage shows up in how your freight gets handled.

Every broker has to do many of the same things on every load—capture the shipment details, build the load, find and vet a carrier, assign the driver, prepare the documents, track the shipment and follow it through delivery and closeout.

The difference is how all of that work gets done—and what that means for you.

I built Freight Command Center because I wanted a better way to manage the entire process. Instead of repeatedly entering the same information, moving between disconnected systems, rebuilding emails and relying on memory to keep track of what happens next, FCC keeps the workflow organized around the load.

But making my job easier was only half the reason I built it.

The bigger reason was to make the experience better for my customers.

When I can eliminate repetitive work and handle routine processes in seconds instead of minutes, that time comes back to you in the form of faster responses, better communication and more attention on the shipment itself.

Your information can follow the load instead of being repeatedly retyped. Carrier outreach can happen faster. Screening information is brought into the workflow before assignment. Emails and shipment documents can be prepared from the information already in the load. Tracking, follow-ups and closeout stay visible instead of becoming another item somebody has to remember.

What does that mean for you?

  • Faster responses
  • Fewer repeated questions
  • Fewer missed details
  • Clearer communication
  • Better visibility
  • Less chasing for answers
  • You do not have to learn Freight Command Center.
  • You do not need another login.
  • And you do not need to care how the software works.

What this means is

You simply get the benefit of having it working on your freight.

Why I built it

Every freight broker has to complete the same essential steps to move a load. Each step takes time and attention, and every time information has to be re-entered, copied, checked, emailed, updated or followed up on manually, it creates another opportunity for wasted time, missed details and human error.

Freight Command Center was built to eliminate as much of that unnecessary work as possible.

What I did

By bringing those repetitive processes, tools and information into one connected workflow, I can spend less time managing the process and more time managing your freight.

What it means for you

That means faster responses, better communication, fewer opportunities for mistakes and more attention where it belongs—on getting your shipment handled properly.

From the moment you send a quote request through final delivery and POD, every step is designed to give you faster responses, clearer communication, fewer missed details, and a smoother freight experience from start to finish.

Freight Command Center (FCC) is not a UCW Logistics product. It is software I developed to streamline the freight business from quote to delivery.
