Do these first
Late is a scheduling problem before it is anything else. Work the receiving end, not just the truck.
- Get the last verified location — verified, not the last status update.
- Get a current ETA from the driver or carrier — and the reason it moved.
- Confirm the receiver’s hours — and their last accepting time today.
- Ask whether the receiver can take it late — many can, if asked early enough.
- Find out whether a new appointment is required — before the old one lapses.
- Update everyone still working from the old ETA — including your own team.
What changes an ETA
Driver hours, traffic, weather, breakdowns, loading delays, previous stops, route changes and receiver hours can all change the operating plan.
Tracking has limits
"In transit" does not mean "on schedule." "Out for delivery" does not guarantee an exact arrival time. See tracking statuses.
If the receiver will not accept it
The load may need rescheduling, layover, temporary holding or redelivery planning.

Send the last verified location, current ETA and receiver hours so I can work the remaining delivery options with you.
