Put the information together
- Identify the permit class before selecting a fee: single trip and extended-period permits can have different prices.
- Confirm the variables used by the authority, such as approved miles, weight above the applicable limit or dimensional brackets.
- Separate state fees from escorts, police, surveys, utility coordination, local permits and application-service charges.
What to confirm
Missing variables should produce an unresolved amount, not a zero. A subtotal of known components is useful, but it is not a complete trip price. Google planning miles must not silently become state-authorized permit miles.
Keep one current shipment record
- Record the final measurements and the person confirming them.
- Keep the proposed route and intended movement date with the load details.
- Recheck the plan when a material shipment detail changes.
