Liquid is dense, so beverage pallets can be heavy for the floor space they occupy.
Do these first
Weight every pallet configuration you ship.
- Give pallet weight — not just carton count.
- Give pallet count and footprint — weight and space both matter.
- Say whether pallets can stack — do not assume.
- State freeze or heat protection needs — if the product has them.
Weight can stop the load before space does
A trailer can have open floor space while the legal weight or axle plan is already full. That is why beverage loads need pallet-level weights when the product mix varies.
Palletized vs floor-loaded
Palletized beverage freight is easier to count and handle. Floor-loaded product changes loading, unloading and handling time.
Temperature protection
Some beverage products have temperature restrictions. Do not publish or assume a universal set point. The shipper supplies the required operating condition.
